Platform

One foundation under every product.

QVINTOS Design, Coordinate and Assist run on the same platform: our own rule bank, a deterministic calculation engine and an AI layer that explains the engine’s results instead of producing them.

  • Part of every product line
  • Hosted in Sweden
  • AI processed in the EU
A-01ArchitectureLayers, bottom up

Four layers, one direction.

Each layer only builds on the one below it. Values come up from the rules and the engine; the AI layer can explain them. In Design explanations, Coordinate summaries and Assist answers, a guard discards AI text that adds figures of its own.

The platform is part of every product line. You license the products; the platform comes with them.

The path of a calculated value in Design

A calculated value has a rule behind it.

  1. 01 Rule id

    Rule

QVINTOS OS supplies the rule, with its id and its confidence level: high, medium or low.

  2. 02 Engine

    Calculation

The engine computes the value from your model and the rule. The same input gives the same calculated result.

  3. 03 Guard

    Explanation

The AI explains the result. A guard discards an explanation with figures or references that are not in the engine’s results.

  4. 04 Source + status

    Result

The value reaches you with its rule id and source. A low-confidence rule adds “to be checked by a qualified engineer”.

The title block of a QVINTOS sprinkler sheet, in Swedish. Status: proposal, not for construction. System: Sprinkler (QVINTOS OS). Client and responsible engineer: to be completed by the inspector.
A sprinkler sheet’s title block (sheets are in Swedish): status “proposal, not for construction”, the rule source “QVINTOS OS”, and “to be completed” where the model has no data.

Traceability

Source and status, written into the result.

ObjectsSource and status on each object Design places
What Design places in the model carries its source and status, written into the IFC as QVINTOS property sets.
FindingsMethod, source and rule id on each review finding
A finding in Coordinate’s model review says how it was measured and which data it came from, so it can be verified or dismissed.
SheetsA proposal until an engineer confirms it
Sheets are marked as proposals. Missing data is marked as to be completed, never filled with a value that looks measured.
ReleasesReference calculations before every release
The engine’s reference calculations are re-run before each production release. A changed calculated result stops the release.

Specification

The platform on one sheet.

How we handle your data Rollout and integration

Input
IFC models, up to 120 MB. MEP design requires IFC4. Revit models come in through IFC export.
Documents
Project documents, for questions in Assist and for model review.
Outputs
PDF sheets and calculations (in Swedish), DXF drawings, the IFC model with the design, BCF issues.
Rules
QVINTOS OS, our own rule bank. The rule id is shown on results.
Calculation
A deterministic calculation engine. Same input, same calculated result, checked on reference calculations before each release.
AI
Explains, sorts and answers with sources. In Design explanations, Coordinate summaries and Assist answers, a guard discards AI text with figures that are not in the underlying results or documents.
Hosting
Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central, for the production environment and for a separate installation.
AI processing
Within the EU. Customer data is not used to train AI models.
Installation
Shared, or a separate installation with its own database, storage, AI resources and keys. Discussed per customer.
Sign-in
QVINTOS accounts. In a separate installation, sign-in through your organization’s Microsoft Entra ID.
Security management
Documented information security management system. QVINTOS is not certified.

Bring purpose-built AI into your organization.
