Your data stays yours. The software is ours.

Two kinds of property meet in every QVINTOS project. We keep them apart, and we say plainly where your data is processed and what we do not claim.

What is yours and what is ours

Customer

Your information.

  • Your models and documentsThe IFC models and project documents you bring in.
  • Results on your projectsThe designs, findings, sheets and answers produced on your projects.
  • Your configurationHow your organization has set QVINTOS up.

Ownership. The models and documents you bring in remain yours. Ownership of customer-generated results and configurations is described according to the applicable customer agreement.

Personal data. Where your project content contains personal data, QVINTOS processes that personal data as a processor on your behalf, under our data processing agreement. The controller and processor roles apply to the processing of personal data, not automatically to all technical data.

Export. Your organization’s administrator can export, as a ZIP, the organization’s projects, document and model records, model comments and issues, coordination and design runs with their review marks, rule book, user list and sign-in log, together with its stored files (or time-limited links to them when the files are very large).

The software you license.

QVINTOS develops, owns and licenses the software. Your organization licenses it to use on your projects; the scope and the terms are set in the agreement.

Principles

  1. 01

    Hosted in Sweden.

    The QVINTOS production environment runs in Microsoft Azure, region Sweden Central: the database, files, search index, keys and backups.

  2. 02

    AI processed in the EU.

    The AI in our products runs on Azure deployments that process data in Sweden Central or within Microsoft’s EU data zone.

  3. 03

    No training on your data.

    QVINTOS does not use customer data to train AI models. Under Microsoft’s terms, the Azure AI services we use do not train on it either.

  4. 04

    Isolated per organization.

    Each organization’s workspace is isolated from every other in the database, with row-level security. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

  5. 05

    Protected sign-in.

    Protection against password guessing, sessions that can be revoked, and an authentication log that your organization’s administrators can read.

  6. 06

    A separate installation is available.

    Its own database, storage, AI resources and keys, with sign-in through your organization’s Microsoft Entra ID. Discussed per customer.

AI processing

What the AI does with your data.

The AI reads the engine’s results and your documents to explain, sort and answer. In Design, the calculated values come from the calculation engine and carry the QVINTOS OS rule id they follow. Design’s explanations of a calculation, Coordinate’s AI summary of the findings and Assist’s answers pass a guard: AI text with a figure that is not in the material it was given is discarded, and the underlying result is shown instead.

The AI runs on Azure OpenAI and Azure AI services in Sweden Central or within Microsoft’s EU data zone. Microsoft’s abuse monitoring is on, as it is by default: content flagged by Microsoft’s automated systems may be reviewed by authorised Microsoft personnel in the EEA.

What we do not claim.

  • No certification. Our information security management system is documented. QVINTOS is not certified.
  • No permissions per project yet. Roles are set per organization; permissions per individual project are not available yet.
  • No standards as sources. Results cite the QVINTOS OS rule they follow, and a qualified engineer confirms them.
